Swedish Massage

Brief history:
The art of body massage has been evident in our ancient civilizations. However, modern massage therapy is based on the research and development of massage techniques by a Swedish man called Per Henrik Ling in the early 19th century. Therefore, it is given the title of 'Swedish Massage'. Most therapists who learn the basic massage techniques go on to further develop and add to their skills.

Benefits of massage:

  • Increased relaxation and feelings of contentment
  • Relief from aches and pains such as headaches, back, neck, joints and muscular
  • Releasing endorphins, the body's natural hormones that make us feel more positive
  • Improved blood and lymph circulation
  • Increased energy levels and vitality
  • An overall sense of well-being and balance
